River Derwent East Ayton 54.244265, -0.481853 Derwent Anglers use to have the fishing to just below East Ayton but it is now residents fishing. Permission will be required to fish below east ayton from the landowners and that usually means taking a walk to one of the nearby farms. We called at one farm well below east ayton and found the farmer to be a nice enough person. Sun Valley area residents and guests are blessed to have this body of water in such close proximity. A spring creek found just south of Sun Valley, Silver Creek offers anglers a chance to enjoy one of the most beautiful places in the state of Idaho, with one of the most wonderful fly fishing. The River Avon has a very special place in the history of Chalkstream fly fishing. Oliver Kite, who lived at Netheravon, devised the ‘Kites Imperial’ to represent the LDO upwinged fly. Another notable inhabitant of Nethervaon was Frank Sawyer who was the river keeper of the Services Dry Fly Association. Fishing is a particular passion of the hosts. Let us fly you to the best fly-fishing spots in the Kenyan highlands. From the lawn at River Valley House we can offer unparalleled access using our helicopters to take you to fish the Mt Kenya Lakes; Lake Alice, Lake Michaelson in the morning, Fox Tarn and Lake Ellis in the afternoon if it’s clear.

With easy access to amazing fishing and scenic 360 degree views of the Eastern Sierra's, Inyo and White Mountains. The perfect rest stop on your way up or down the 395.

Surrounded by the Sierra Nevada, Inyo, and White Mountains, the Owens River Valley is picturesque and home to some quality trout fishing on the Owens River. If you like to pair photography with fishing then this is the ideal location for you - the color pallet is beautiful, especially in the winter.

To get to Owens River, start in Big Pine, CA and take the 168 towards the Ancient Bristlecone Pine forrest. A few minutes down the road you will cross a bridge that goes over the Owens River. After you cross the bridge there are places to pull off onto dirt on both sides of the road. These pull offs are perfectly safe but be cautious about choosing your spot if you don't have high clearance or a 4WD vehicle. Find a spot that looks good and make the short walk to the river. There are plenty of great fishing holes so take your time walking along the river bed, enjoy the beautiful scenery, even take a dip if its hot enough and when your finished, head back to Big Pine for a cold beer at Mountain Rambler Brewery.

Fishing conditions on the Owen's River will change throughout the year, be sure to call one of the local fly shops like Brock's Fly Fishing or Sierra Trout Magnet to get the most up to date report from the river.
